  6. Choose Import (adds to existing calendar) or Open as New (creates a separate calendar)

Other calendar apps

Any calendar application that supports the iCalendar standard (RFC 5545) can import this file. This includes Thunderbird, Fastmail, Proton Calendar, Samsung Calendar, and most other modern calendar apps. Look for an "Import" or "Add calendar" option and select the .ics file.

Tip: create a dedicated calendar first

For the best experience, create a new calendar specifically for your lunar birthdays (e.g., "Lunar Family Birthdays") before importing. This keeps the events grouped together so you can show, hide, or delete all of them with a single click — rather than having them mixed into your personal calendar.
